About Me

My photo
I'm a junior in high school, born and bred in New England. Attending prep school, maybe in favor when it comes to college application, but not in the bank! Prep school has made be young, fabulous (...i hope), & {c o m p l e t e l y} broke.

Summer Dreaming.

It's never too early to start thinking about the warm sunny weather when you're stuck in dreary January. This Scalloped Leather Black Stripe Tote Bag from Unique Vintage is the perfect way to start your day dreams with your feet in the sand. Retailing at $62.00 that price  isn't all that bad! And it's perfect to store your sunscreen, summer novel, and floppy hat inside.

The Vitals: Prep Guide

I personally love little pictures like this that help you get the basics of something. It's convenient having all of the basics in one place on one little picture.

Wishful Thinking: Kate Spade.

Oh, if only money wasn't an object...i'd be living in Paris, eating Ladrée macaroons, dressed from head to toe in nothing but Kate Spade. Kate's designs are extremely adorable and fun to say the least, but very expensive. Luckily for you girls that live near Outlets that have Kate Spade you can score some great deals! I once get $78.00 clip on earrings for only ten bucks!

Do you like Kate Spade? What's your favorite product from her? Comment below.

Do It Your Self: Yucky Heels.

Whoever said diamonds were a girls best friend was wrong, heels are! They make your legs appear to be long and lean, what's there not to love? Actually, I take that last sentence back {and probably the first one too ahha} what i don't like is when my favorite heels start to become all gross and ratty. Luckily, this blog post will help you fix just that problem. And this is all you need...

  • Glitter
  • Mod Podge {Click to find out how to make your own}
  • Paint Brush
  • Paper Plater
  • and of course....a pair of heels
And here is what to do...
  1. Pour some mod podge on the paper plate
  2. Pour enough glitter in the mod podge to make a nice glittering paste
  3. Take your paint brush and carefully go over the heel
  4. Allow the heels to dry and voila!

Hope with helps some of you!

Life Is Too Short.

I love this quote, so beautiful and true.

Dear 16-year-old Me

Being sixteen and almost 100% Irish this video really hit home. So many teens lay out in the hot summer sun with no protection, and even more lay in tanning beds. Please watch this video and become informed.

Warning: You may cry from the beauty and message of this video

January 2012 Favorites.

February is quickly approaching and that only means one thing... January favorites! Rhode Island weather has been  crazy this month, it's either snowing or 50 degrees outside. My favorites reflect this season and the {sometimes} cold January. But without further ado, my January favorites...

  • iPhone 4: very first thing i bought with my paychecks and well worth it!
  • Frye Melissa Button Boots: has a weird  bump after the heel, but you get used to it. Great riding boot and looks super cute.
  • Irish Sweater: Mine is actually exactly the same one in the photo above, brand and all! My mother purchased it in Ireland years back and i love to wear it with an Oxford underneath.
  • The Hunger Games: purchased this on my iPhone kindle app, such a great book and thats saying a lot coming from me because i usually despise reading.
  • Eddie Bauer Wool-Blend Duffle Coat: Pricey, but worth every penny! Keeps me very warm on snowy new england days!
  • Teavana ayurvedic chai: being a first time tea buyer from teavana i haven't mastered brewing, but this tea is de-light-ful!
  • Froyo World: best. snack. ever. PERIOD!
